Emergency! by Anorah Dembo

   I have an Emergency.
How severe is your Emergency? Well, I dont know about you but everyday I wake up, Jesus our savior lets me know that He loves me; and that there is an emergency for the lost souls who need to know the true and living God. In (Mark 16:15-16) it says: go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptiseed shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Believing it so as we are living in the last days. Everyday we live is an Emergency. (Mark 16:17-18) and these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Brothers and sisters, we are Gods elect; servants of the Most High; disciples of Christ. We (our job is to) go out and compel them (the unsaved) to come in (Luke 14:21-23). Remember we were once lost ourselves and must remain sensitive to the spirit as well. We are no more or less than the very ones that are drawn in. Though we are named as the righteous: the righteous shall scarcely be saved (1Peter 4:18-19). Disciples of God, it is criticle even for us; so we must continue to seek and do the will of the Father. So i ask you again: How severe is your Emergency? The hospital can give you a band-aid but only God can save your soul. I have an Emergency. I'm trying to make it to glory.

Am I my brother/sisters' keeper? (part 2)

God bless you all saints of the Most High. this is supposed to be part 2 of my commentary on the question in Genesis 4:9; but this is not a commentary. Call it common sense or call it revelation from the Lord, either way it has been revealed to me that there is no need for the second installment of this commentary. This blog is designed for the people of God that both live and worship in spirit and truth. If we don't know as mature men and women of God that we are our brothers' and sisters' keeper, we are definitely missing the basic principles of Gods word. My brother in Christ Dominique Williams even went as far as stating that we have been charged by Jesus himself to Love your enemies (Matt 5:43-44). At this point what else needs to be said. so instead of going in depth on this issue; I will just leave you with some scriptures that confirm that the answer is YES! I am my brother and sisters' keeper: ( Proverbs 17:17, 18:24, John 15:13, Matt 22:37, 1 John 4:20-21). The list goes on saints of God. The entire Holy Bible is about loving God and loving your fellow humankind as well as treating animals with kindness and being good stewards of everything God has placed us over.

I'm currently conducting a study on why as believers, we look to other things for comfort..(sexual sin, mood altering substances, worldly music, co-dependency, food, etc).. rather than looking to the only true comforter: the Holy Spirit.  It's very interesting that the very chemicals that our brain and body produce by performing specific actions, give us a false sense of comfort and contentment. The truth is: there are unresolved issues from our past or in our heart and mind that cause our fear, anxieties, and feelings of rejection and anger, that in conclusion cause us to be in a state of uncomfortable discontentment. I'm calling the commentary: "Deeper than the surface"; and yes saints, it gets deep. I will also be having some guest bloggers' sharing commentaries on their own personal revelation from the Lord. Until next time saints, God bless you and seek ye first the kingdom of God, and  His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matt 6:33)

Am I my brother/sisters keeper?(part 1)

In the book of Genesis; Cain, the first son of Adam poses a most important question: Am I my brothers keeper? (Gen 4:9) This very question causes us to look in the mirror and reflect on our own ways and actions toward our fellow Christians. this question came to the Lord after we read about the first murder recorded in the Holy Bible. (Gen 4:8) The murder was a act of wrath and jealousy after God accepted a more acceptable sacrifice from Cains younger brother Able. The Lord then asks a seemingly depressed Cain a question that He already knew the answer to: Where is Able thy brother? (Gen 4:9) A question much like the one God asked Adam in the Garden of Eden: Where art thou? (Gen 3:9) Cain answers with a lie and then replies: Am I my brothers keeper? God doesn't answer the question in this particular text. So what is the answer? ...    (to be continued in part 2)
